What types of art can you shoot?

Paintings (gloss and glare can be filtered out), drawings, books, sculpture (in-situ and on seamless), installations and install shots. Please note that some works behind glass, reflective metallics, and miniatures may require multiple shots and retouching which can increase costs.

What do I need to do to prepare for a shoot on-site?

Provide as much room as possible on either side of the work for the lights. Most small works can be photographed in sealed frames without removing them. A 54" seamless backdrop can be provided for sculptures.

What kinds of images do I receive:

All images are developed with a custom color profile based on a hand measured 140 patch Colorchecker SG chart and verified with a 24 patch Colorchecker. Our calibration dramatically exceeds FADGI standards, accurate color is achieved and verified with mathematical precision, eliminating any guesswork.

Four folders of files are provided: Full size 100+ Megapixel TIFF files in the full AdobeRGB 1998 color space around 11648 x 8736 pixels or around 38" x 29" at 300dpi ). Paintings can be stitch shot to provide images well over 300 megapixels. Full sized JPEGS, large sized JPEG files (around 10 megs), and scaled down JPEGs at 1800 pixels for email and websites. Images of almost any size and format can be exported at no extra charge.

When do I receive the images?

Generally you receive your images at the end of the shoot or via secure weblink or by transfer to a portable drive. If additional retouching work is needed, images can be sent via download link within three business days.
